About Us Brief History       "In the 1970's Jack Sasser raised Jimmy to work in the family marina business in Long Beach (Harbor House Marina). Jack was more than glad when middle son, Jimmy, was home from school, so he could assist with boat repair; in fact, since young Jimmy was so talented, Jack encouraged Jimmy to stay home just to work in the family shop." Thus, a lifetime dedication to the Marine Repair and Service business began at an early age for Jimmy Sasser, and today the legend of the generations continues with Jimmy's son, Nicolas, as Sales Manager and VP at Jimmy's Marine. Captain Jimmy moved to Ocean Isle Beach in 1986 to begin a mobile-marine repair business. The success of this business soon lead (1989) to sub-contracting with Calabash and Pelican Point Marinas, and then, Jimmy's first breakthrough shop (1992) - very close to the current Boundary House Restaurant.   In a unique twist of history, in 1997 (some 25 years later), Jack Sasser's original building at Harbor House Marina was relocated, and became a 2nd generation primary building for Jimmy's Marine Service Center.
