The weather looks great for the weekend. Flat seas on Sunday , with sunshine, what more could you ask for. Kings in 90 ft, seabass and other bottom dwellers in the same depth. Slide on out and try the stream/ break for a hoo or blackfin. Meanwhile the trout and blue bite is on in the backwaters.

Jimmy’s Marine

The trout are still biting , lots of smaller size , but they are getting bigger. Color of choice this weekend was gold flake in clear or gold bodies. Several were caught on mirrolures and DOA’s.

Come on down and enjoy the bite going on, then set back and watch your favorite team play basketball at one of our local establishments. Trout are still biting , along with a few reds and flounder.

Several of the local guides got out yesterday in the cold , but were still catching trout. On e even had a 17″ flounder.Come down and check out the action.

Coach Fimbel and I (Frollie Hughes) caught  20-25 trout and 1 small flounder. Three of them were keepers ( 15-16 inches).  Mirrorlures, natural gulp shrimp, DOA’s and saltwater assassins( electric chicken,cantaloupe, and opening night) did the trick. Most were caught at creek mouths near the drop offs.( inside and outside the mouth of the creeks )

Awesome sight today, watched dolphin feeding on redfish in the intracoastal waterway. Get in on the action, now is the time to fish without all the boats running up and down the waterway. Get with some of our local guides for the action.

Come on down to the beach and get in on the trout bite. Larger fish are being caught on drop offs  around structure and  near oyster beds. Smaller fish are still being caught in the normal locations. While out, come by Jimmy’s Marine and visit with Frollie Hughes (Bay Pirate / Jimmy’s Marine fishing team) for the latest hot bait colors and styles.

Meanwhile, the wahoo are still  active in the blue water.  They are moving from one location to another, just have to hit right location for hot action.
